Dispersal Orders

Hello everyone!

As I am sure you are aware, Snodland has seen a significant increase in Anti-Social behaviour, primarily from young people causing havoc in the high street and surrounding areas, causing misery to the locals. With the Summer Fete in Snodland happening tomorrow, I am anticipating a further increase in Anti-Social behaviour from our local youngsters and adults alike. 

To combat this, a Section 34 Dispersal Order has been authorised over the weekend. This will enable Police officers to disperse troublemakers by issuing them with Section 35 Direction to Leave Notices, which will force them to leave the area. If those issued with a Direction to Leave notice return to the area, they could be arrested. 

This is one of many ways that Kent Police are tackling ASB and I am hopeful that this reassures the residents of Snodland that action will be taken against those causing trouble.
